Centering prayer is a time to ‘be still and know God,' to open our hearts and minds to our Creator's presence and action in us, and to gently rest in the Divine.
We open by ringing a prayer bell, followed by singing a simple refrain, or chant. We then hear a short wisdom reading, and sit in quiet stillness for about twenty minutes. We end by singing another simple refrain.
Everyone is very welcome to stay afterwards for Contemplative Holy Communion at 12:30 pm.
