Need an accessible, adaptable multipurpose venue for your special ceremony, performance, public event or rehearsal?

St. Mary Magdalene's offers several unique spaces for affordable rent, either one-time or recurring weekly/monthly.

We have three bookable spaces: a 60-person multipurpose room with stackable chairs, grand piano, and sound system; an 8-person private lounge with armchairs and table; and a full kitchen.

Our single-level venue is wheelchair accessible, including 2 accessible washrooms with baby-changing tables. Hearing assistance & extra seats/tables available by request.

Past uses include weddings, intimate concerts, music lessons, public gatherings, yoga, theatre rehearsals, community meetings, support/recovery groups, day retreats & faith communities needing a home.

There is some free 2-hour parking on nearby streets, a large pay-parkade at Vancouver General Hospital just a block north, as well as 2 loading spaces right at our entrance.

Reduced rates or no-cost use may be available by request — depending on the nature of your group, financial capacity, and alignment with our values. We welcome a conversation to find an arrangement that works. 

Sanctuary
A Sacred Space with a grand piano, suitable for large meetings, rehearsals and gatherings.

The Sanctuary is our largest space and can accomodate up to 60 people.  It's full of natural light and has a tranquil atmosphere. 

Multiple entrances; enter from either side of the building, or the main Church entrance. 

 The layout is adaptable, allowing flexibility in arranging seating and tables to accommodate different event configurations. Folding tables and chairs to seat up to 50 are available for the space. 

Capacity: 60 

Room dimensions: 32 ft x 25 ft 

Rental rate: $40 /per hour

Kisby Lounge
A private and quiet room with big windows and a calm atmosphere. Suitable for smaller meetings and presentations.

The Kisby Lounge contains upholstered chairs, a table, screen for presentations and a kid's corner with books and toys.  

Room dimensions: 12 ft x 13ft 

Capacity: 8

Rental rate: $20 /per hour

Kitchen
Bookable alongside the Kisby Lounge and/or Sanctuary. 

The kitchen contains the usual amenities with access to a fridge, freezer, sink, stove/oven, dishwasher, pots/pans, cutlery, kettle and coffee machine.

Rental rate: $20 /per hour (added to Sanctuary/Lounge rental) 

Grand Piano
Book our beautifully tuned Kawai Grand Piano for your lesson, rehearsal or concert

Access is included in sanctuary space bookings.
