With our annual general meeting fast approaching, we are looking for volunteers to help run the church. If that interests you, here are some of the openings:

Warden: works closely with the Vicar to provide guidance, help with problem-solving, and facilitate connections between congregation and priest. Monthly council meetings and periodic additional meetings with the vicar.

Member of parish council: Council ensures that the work of the church is always a collaboration between the vicar and the people. This group does everything from deciding on events (eg Christmas dinner, do we do an Easter Vigil this year) to reviewing financial statements. Meets monthly for 1.5 hours.

Synod representatives and alternates: A member of parish council, the synod rep also attends the large regional meeting (Synod) every other year in May. Synod alternates with the Mission Conference, a one-day event in May. This year's speaker is former Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, the Most Reverend Michael Curry.

Garden coordinator: Organizes people for planting and watering. Generally manages the front garden and the secret garden. Helps the garden group make decisions around planting, etc.

Handy person: Helps with odd jobs like hanging pictures and replacing door stoppers.
